My Professional Background
I have spent most of my career working within personal injury. I have dealt with a broad spectrum of cases, including claims arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, trips, slips and accidents. I currently specialise in accidents within the workplace, particularly injuries that have developed from stress and bullying.
I first began working at Attwaters in 1986 before going to university. I continued working here during my summer breaks and after completing my professional exams, I was fortunate to obtain a training contract with the firm and have been here ever since.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and became a Partner in 2001. I love working here and the work brings fresh challenges every day.
Achievements / Accreditations
- In Legal 500 2021 I am described as being a ‘heavyweight in the field.’
- In Legal 500 2018 I am described as being ‘sensitive to clients concerns while providing an excellent service’
- Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers
- In the 2017 Legal 500, the directory commented that I am particularly recommended by clients and am ‘sensitive to clients’ requirements, while providing an excellent service’.
My husband Peter is also a Solicitor and Partner with Attwaters Jameson Hill, heading up the firm’s Residential Conveyancing department. Our two sons do not have any aspirations to join the firm at the moment – their preferred career paths are set on fighting crime as Spiderman or Power Rangers, but who knows?
I love food, but am a terrible cook and my culinary attempts are legendary amongst family and friends. Luckily, I have a good sense of humour and a variety of local restaurants!
I am not a natural athlete and prefer to relax browsing glossy magazines for fashion tips and celebrity gossip. I enjoy swimming and regularly endure boot camp keep-fit classes.
