Our Family Law and Planning departments shine in Chambers and Partners results!

On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Thursday, October 19th, 2023

The latest Chambers and Partners rankings have been released and we are delighted to announce that both our Family Law and Town and Country Planning departments have retained their prestigious Band 1 ranking this year!

Each year, the Chambers and Partners directory identifies, ranks and differentiates the best legal talent across the globe. Established in 1989, it has been providing comprehensive rankings of the world’s best law firms for over 30 years, based on meticulous research methodologies and tens of thousands of face-to-face interviews.

Family Law results

Attwaters’ “impressive family law practice” was noted particularly for its skill in “highly specialised areas such as Schedule 1 cases, adoption and guardianship matters”, and was once again awarded Band 1 status – the highest on offer by the directory.

Speaking of our expertise and service excellence, one of our clients told Chambers and Partners: “The team explained everything clearly including what the next steps were. Everyone on the team was fully up to speed on my case and able to advise. I was extremely impressed and felt very confident in them.”

Joyti Henchie, a Consultant in our Family Law team who is described as an “acknowledged leader in the Essex market” by the directory, also retained her Band 1 ranking, which she has consistently held for many years. One testimonial commented on her “extraordinary tact and patience with clients” but also praised her for “fearlessly represent[ing] their interests”. Another client said simply: “She is amazing – compassionate yet not afraid to deliver difficult news when needed.”

We are also delighted to reveal that our wonderful Family Law Partner, Stephanie Holmes, was featured by the Chambers and Partners guide for the first time this year. Achieving an impressive Band 2 ranking, Stephanie was praised for being “very dedicated to her work and very caring towards her clients”, as well as “user-friendly and accessible”.

Town and Country Planning results

Our Town and Country Planning team, headed up by Band 1 practitioner Salvatore Amico, was also delighted to retain its Band 1 ranking this year. According to the directory, the department possesses “a wealth of knowledge and experience in a variety of complex planning matters” and “offers consistently helpful and clear advice” and “top-level expertise”.

Salvatore himself, who has consistently achieved Band 1 rankings in the directory over the past few years, was said to be “very good strategically but also at finding solutions to difficult problems.” Another client was full of praise for Salvatore, saying that “he is very hard-working, precise and really knows his stuff on planning law.”

Another year of fantastic results

Our Managing Partner, Sheri-Anne Mizon, was more than satisfied with another set of fantastic rankings from the prestigious directory.

“A massive congratulations to Joyti and Salvatore, whose expertise and drive for excellence has seen both them and their departments consistently achieving the highest possible rankings for many years now. We’re also delighted to see that Stephanie Holmes, who has been doing such excellent work in our Family Law department, has been recognised by the directory as a Band 2 practitioner, an achievement that is thoroughly well deserved.”

She continued: “Excellent client care, integrity, quality and respect are all values at the core of our business and we endeavour to embody them in everything we do. Results like these are so incredibly motivating and encourage us to continue delivering the level of service and excellent outcomes our clients have come to expect.”
