Amy Bell
My Professional Background
I joined Attwaters Jameson Hill in February 2024 as a Paralegal in the Trusts and Tax team. Prior to this, I worked as a paralegal in the Criminal Defence sector. My current role includes setting up and administrating Personal Injury and Life Interest Trusts; acting as first point of call for trustees and beneficiaries; drawing up trust documents; dealing with trust distribution requests and queries relating to trusts; and liaising with trustees and financial advisers.
Achievements/Accreditations
I graduated with a first class Bachelors Degree in History from Durham University in 2022 and am now studying for my Master of Laws (LLM) at BPP University.
I am a member of Inner Temple Chambers, who are supporting me through my LLM. After I graduate, I plan to either sit the Bar (the qualification to become a barrister) or the Solicitor Qualifying Exam (SQE).
About me
I was born and raised in Middlesborough, a small town in North-East England where my family still lives. I moved to London in 2022 to undertake legal work for a firm in the City, which has really broadened my opportunities in the legal sector and enabled me to meet a wide network of professionals.
Although I spend a lot of time studying, I also enjoy socialising and visiting family when I can. I love to keep active and ensure I stay happy and healthy. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the odd sweet treat and indulging from time to time! My favourite food has to be a Parmo – a Middlesborough delicacy. A Parmo is a must if you’re ever passing through!
