Success in the Chambers and Partners 2018 rankings

On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Friday, November 3rd, 2017

We are thrilled to announce that we have once again achieved excellent rankings in the latest Chambers and Partners. The directory ranks the best lawyers following in-depth research and has done so since 1990.

Our Medical Negligence and Family teams were given praise in this year’s rankings, along with specific individuals also.

The Medical Negligence team, headed by top-band ranked Partner Solicitor, Madeline Seibert, was one of two firms in Essex achieving rankings for Medical Negligence. The team is known for “its expertise in complex clinical negligence litigation, including acting on claims concerning birth and psychiatric injury, as well high-value cases of brain damage and severe injuries in children”. Our firm is “also widely considered a destination practice for sensitive claims involving fatalities, with experience, representing bereaved families in inquests”.

Some fantastic comments were noted, namely: “The team worked hand in hand at all times, and was always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They also showed prompt attention to detail, clear and concise communications, and were approachable for any concerns I had”. Other parties affirmed that the team “runs a very tight ship, is a pleasure to work with and always deals with claims with a high level of skill coupled with compassion”.

Notable practitioners within the department were David Kerry, “a highly experienced consultant with a strong track record in maximum severity cases” and Madeline Seibert, who was described as “fantastic” with the directory commenting that “She’s wonderful with clients, very reassuring and willing to go the extra mile for them”. Solicitor, James Sherwin, also received “praise for his expertise in claims arising from orthopaedic injuries, cosmetic surgery, ophthalmology and fatal accidents”.

Our Family team was one of only four firms in Essex given specific mention. Interviewees praised the team’s client service and dedication, commenting: “They are very helpful, very organised and always kept me informed”. Another source reported: “They are willing to do what is necessary to achieve the best outcome and meet deadlines”.

Partner, and head of department, Joyti Henchie, who advises on complex matrimonial finance and children disputes, achieved a top-band ranking. Chambers and Partners commented that “she is down to earth, extremely conscientious, and has excellent judgement”, also noting that,“She always has time to speak, no matter what”.

The Family department is known for “compact, impressive family law covering the breadth of work in financial matters and both public and private children law”.

Our Personal Injury department was classed as an ‘Other Noted Firm’, with head of department and Training Partner, Sheenagh Parsons, achieving a ranking as a ‘Recognised Practitioner’.

Town & Country Planning Consultant, Rob Jameson, and Medical Negligence Consultant, David Kerry, both achieved rankings as a ‘Senior Statesman’ for the third year running.
