Announcing our merger with Stafford Young Jones

On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Friday, November 1st, 2019

We are delighted to announce our merger with Stafford Young Jones, a London-based law firm with an office located in the heart of the City.

The move, which took effect on 1 November 2019, saw us join forces with Stafford Young Jones to bring our combined expertise to clients across a wider geographical area, broadening the range of specialist services we offer and boosting our staff numbers to 93.

The merged business will initially be named Attwaters Jameson Hill incorporating Stafford Young Jones, and now has five offices, adding a prime London location to our four existing practices.

The merger will give Stafford Young Jones the opportunity to bring over 200 years of legal knowledge and expertise to our clients across Hertfordshire and Essex, as well as providing its existing clients with access to our successful regional offices and broader service offering. Equally, our own clients can now enjoy the benefit of access to Stafford Young Jones’ conveniently placed London office, in addition to our four current locations.

Our Managing Partner, Andrew Flannagan, says that the merger is a natural progression for both firms, and is both beneficial to our businesses and to our many clients:

“It is a pleasure to be able to announce this merger, which sees us unite with a highly distinguished and reputable firm. Client service and care is, and has always been, at the heart of what we do, and so it was only natural that we should seek further opportunities to enhance our client offering, both in terms of the range of services available and our geographical reach.

“Attwaters Jameson Hill has already enjoyed wide recognition for the quality of the advice and services it provides from sources such as the prestigious Legal 500 directory. Stafford Young Jones is a firm that shares our commitment to high standards of client care, our insistence on high quality legal advice and our vision for future growth.”

Andrew Strong, Managing Partner at Stafford Young Jones, says:

“While both firms offered expertise in a multitude of specialisms prior to the merger, our union with Attwaters Jameson Hill will provide our clients with access to a greater depth of sector-specific expertise.

“For us, the most important thing is that Attwaters Jameson Hill shares our friendly, approachable and professional attitude to client care and takes as much pride as we do in offering an excellent client experience. We look forward to continuing our growth together, and I am very excited for what the future holds.”
