£2,300 raised at our annual charity quiz
Last night (14th November 2019) we hosted our annual charity quiz, this year in aid of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT), our Charity of the Year.
Having been oversubscribed in previous years, we chose to host the quiz in a new, bigger venue – Broxbourne’s Paradise Wildlife Park, and were delighted to welcome 161 guests to participate.
As always, we were delighted to have the opportunity to raise funds for such a worthy cause, making a difference to the lives of those across two counties at the heart of our firm.
Contrary to common misconception, EHAAT is a charity and is kept airborne thanks to donations, fundraising and volunteers – it is not government funded. The team are passionate about going the extra mile and are on hand to help in emergencies 365 days a year. On average, EHAAT’s critical care team is dispatched six times per day, treating 1,000 patients every year – their work really can be the difference between life and death.
We are thrilled to announce that we raised a total of £2,300 last night from our quiz and raffle, thanks to the huge generosity of our guests, meaning we have covered the £2,200 cost of a flight mission for EHAAT.
Partner and Head of Family Law, Joyti Henchie, said, “We would like to thank everyone who supported our charity quiz evening, and the donations made towards Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. To have raised enough money to pay for a flight mission is a real achievement and we are so pleased to be able to help the charity in this way.”
