EpiPen shortage ‘worrying’

On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Friday, June 21st, 2019

The makers of the adrenaline injection pen, which is used to treat severe and life-threatening allergic reactions, say that the continuing supply problems are due to manufacturing issues.

The Department of Health said they were working with the manufacturers to “resolve the supply situation as quickly as possible”. They said limited supplies were being closely managed. Our advice: If you have concerns about your child’s EpiPen Junior 150mcg, please follow this link to a letter of advice from Aidan Fowler, The National Director of Patient Safety.
