PREVIOUS CHARITABLE WORK IN THE COMMUNITY

 2018 The Alzheimer’s Society

Charity quiz night 2018

On 15th November, we hosted our annual charity quiz night, which this year was in aid of Alzheimer’s Society, our nominated Charity of the Year.

We were thrilled to welcome 165 guests through the doors of Canons Brook Golf Club, who formed 19 teams, and were delighted to raise a total of £2,288.83.

Partner, and Head of Family Law, said, “Every year we are so grateful to those who support our quiz evening, in aid of our nominated Charity of the Year. This year we saw a record number of entries for the quiz and to have raised over £2,000 for Alzheimer’s Society is something we are hugely proud of. As the number of people living with dementia is increasing, we are pleased to be able to support such a worthy cause as they strive to make a positive difference”.

Alzheimer’s Society is the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia today. They use fundraising money to help a variety of projects, including ongoing research and their Side by Side service, which links people living with dementia to volunteers, so they can keep doing the things they love.

2017 Grove Cottage

Last year we  supported Grove Cottage. Grove Cottage is a local charity and provides educational and social activities for children and adults with learning disabilities from aged 3 months to over 80 years. Grove offers a safe environment to create friendships and also provides respite for families. The charity provides support in developing potential and runs various social and holiday clubs, a special needs nursery and a speech and language therapy programme for children.

Attwaters Jameson Hill Annual Quiz

Our quiz evening, which took place on Thursday 16th November 2017, in aid of our Charity of the Year, Grove Cottage, was once again a great success!
We were delighted to see such a great turnout, with near on 170 people in attendance and 19 quiz teams. We raised a fantastic £1700 for Grove Cottage, which will be a huge help to their facilities and activities.
The Attwaters Jameson Hill quiz has grown year on year, and we are continually thankful and appreciative to those who give up their time to attend and raise money for such a great cause. We would also like to thank the organisations that generously donated prizes for our raffle.
