Success in the 2021 Chambers and Partners legal rankings

On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Thursday, October 22nd, 2020

We are delighted to once again have been recognised in the Chambers and Partners rankings, for 2021.

Three members of our valued staff are specifically mentioned within this year’s directory, namely: Joyti Henchie, Salvatore Amico and Rob Jameson, with some excellent accompanying comments about these individuals and the Family Law department.

Former Partner and Head of Family Law (now a Consultant of the firm), Joyti Henchie, has been listed as a Band 1 Lawyer. Joyti is ‘An acknowledged leader in the Essex market’ and ‘handles the full remit of family law matters, advising on both matrimonial finance and children law cases.’ Chambers and Partners notes “Her abilities as a lawyer are absolutely first class”, with one client report adding, “There is simply no one better – her strategic thinking is beyond measure.”

The Family Law department itself also receives the impressive Band 1 ranking. The team advises on complex financial remedy proceedings, including international matters. The team was noted as being ‘Adept in highly specialised areas such as Schedule 1 cases, adoption and guardianship matters’, as well as ‘childcare proceedings relating to non-accidental injuries and domestic violence.’ Some fantastic quotes are noted including describing the team as a “down-to-earth group of efficient solicitors who provide sound advice to clients”, with their “consistency in quality and speed of response” getting specific mention.

‘Up and coming’ Head of Town & Country Planning, and Partner of the firm, Salvatore Amico, has been praised for his work with developers, local authorities, landowners and residential groups in various planning matters, including: Section 106 agreements, enforcement action and the Community Infrastructure Levy. Specifically, Salvatore is praised as being “…excellent, he is efficient, friendly and knows his stuff”, “His knowledge is wide-ranging and the thought he applies behind the work is always acute and to the point”. Furthermore “Salvatore is very pragmatic, cost-aware and manages the expectations of clients and counsel well.”

Once again, Rob Jameson has been recognised as a Senior Statesperson in the Chambers and Partners directory, for his expert advice on ‘…the full ambit of planning issues.’ Rob is ‘…particularly noted for his expertise in guiding local authorities through the examination of their core strategies.’ Rob also receives great praise from client comments, including: “Rob has a wealth of experience, and his opinions are always clear and to the point.” Clients comment on his “…practical approach…” and his ability to “…get quickly to the nub of the issue.” “Rob is extremely knowledgeable and provides excellent advice and support to officers throughout the examination process.”

On learning of this year’s results, Managing Partner, Andrew Flannagan said, “To receive such positive recognition in one of the leading legal directories year after year makes me so proud of the team at Attwaters Jameson Hill. Clients are at the heart of everything we do and the individual care and attention our fee earners provide for their clients is what makes us unique.”
