Prestigious STEP qualification for Wills, Trusts & Probate Solicitor

On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Monday, February 22nd, 2021

We are delighted to announce that Keri Rowan, a solicitor in our Wills, Trusts & Probate team, has successfully completed the final examination in her STEP diploma. STEP, or the Society for Trust & Estate Practitioners, is a global professional body that unites lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners who specialise in inheritance and succession planning. The Society offers a range of globally recognised, highly rigorous qualifications, which take years to complete and must be undertaken before candidates can apply for STEP membership – which Keri has now also successfully done.

To complete her diploma, Keri studied for two and a half years and completed four examinations, all the while working with clients full-time. By undertaking a STEP diploma, lawyers develop academic and practical knowledge of the most up-to-date issues currently affecting the Wills & Probate profession, as well as proving their commitment to and expertise in their field.

Keri said: “I’m so delighted to have completed this STEP qualification. It has been a busy few years, but becoming a fully-fledged member of STEP, and being able to offer the highest standards of service and advice to my clients, makes it all worthwhile!”

Commenting on Keri’s success, our Managing Partner, Andrew Flannagan, said: “Many congratulations to Keri on her tremendous achievement. As anyone who has undertaken study while holding down a full-time job will testify, it is not easy to juggle the two, and Keri has done so admirably and without complaint. This qualification gives Keri the opportunity to display her expertise and demonstrate to clients that Attwaters Jameson Hill is not only a firm that invests in the education of its lawyers, but that also demonstrates its commitment to ensuring the advice we provide to clients is of the highest possible quality.”
