On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Sunday, December 4th, 2016

We are delighted to report that two senior members of our medical negligence department have been confirmed by prestigious legal directories as leaders in their legal specialism on a national basis, thanks to their expertise and achievements on behalf of clients. Our firm is also described as 'an outstanding national practice' in this field 'with a caring ethos for clients'.

Madeline and David both in directory’s Band 1

Medical Negligence team also Band 1 and deemed ‘an outstanding national practice’

Madeline Seibert, medical negligence partner, is placed in the elite Band 1 category of the Chambers & Partners directory; and she is in addition recommended in The Legal 500 directory. Chambers & Partners highlights that she is ‘tough and uncompromising in terms of negotiating, but never forgetful of the human side’ of the cases she handles. The directory also places Madeline’s department in Band 1, confirming it as an outstanding national team.

“I feel privileged to be in a position where I can help incredibly inspiring adults and children to secure justice and compensation in situations where they have been profoundly injured,” says Madeline. I am very proud and honoured to receive recognition for the work that I do from Chambers and The Legal 500, particularly because it is based upon recommendations from clients and other professionals. I am also very pleased that the entire Medical Negligence Department was recommended as being an outstanding national practice with a caring ethos for clients.”

Madeline’s colleague David Kerry, a medical negligence lawyer with decades of experience and a remarkable record of achievement is designated a ‘senior statesman’ by Chambers & Partners. Describing David’s qualities, the directory says he is “a highly regarded practitioner who regularly handles fatal claims, often arising out of negligent care for vulnerable persons. He often acts as an advocate at inquests. He is considered ‘experienced, pragmatic and a real safe pair of hands’.”

In all, five senior Attwaters Jameson Hill personnel, engaged in family law, town & country planning and personal injury as well as medical negligence, are named in the Chambers & Partners 2016 edition. Two of them, plus two other colleagues, are also recommended in The Legal 500 directory for 2016.

Among the other individual solicitors rated in Chambers & Partners is family law partner Joyti Henchie, whose existing position in the elite category, Band 1, is confirmed. Her colleague Rob Jameson, the firm’s top town & country planning expert, is also accorded the ‘senior statesman’ designation and has a ‘leading lawyer’ listing in The Legal 500.

Two other members of our firm are individually recommended in The Legal 500 for specific work in London/Essex/South East: Leanne Philp for Dispute Resolution – Commercial Litigation; and managing partner Andrew Flannagan for Private Client – Court of Protection.

“On top of the plaudits for individuals, we’ve again shown the strength of our teamwork, with Madeline and David ensuring our medical negligence department is duly recognised,” Andrew Flannagan says proudly. “Various areas of our work are covered by at least one legal directory accolade. It’s clear that a wide range of top-quality legal services can be successfully delivered by a regional firm.”

With a history dating back to 1901, our firm has about 100 partners and staff based at offices in Hertford, Ware, Harlow and Loughton. Our medical negligence team can be accessed through any of our four offices and we can also arrange to visit clients in their care home or other location.
