Legal directory praises our partners and team

Two senior members of our firm's Medical Negligence Department have been confirmed as leaders in their specialist field by a top legal directory. They are department head David Kerry and fellow partner Madeline Seibert. Our Medical Negligence team as a whole is also top rated.

David, who lives in Dunmow, is singled out as a star performer in the Chambers & Partners UK directory, which lists and ranks leading lawyers and law firms. His long-held position in the top category, Band 1, is confirmed; star status reflects outstanding achievements on behalf of patients that suffered due to poor treatment. He is described as: ‘compassionate and thorough, prepares cases very well and demonstrates exceptional pragmatism’.

Working across all areas of medical negligence, including cerebral palsy, deaths in hospitals, failure to diagnose, inquests and human rights issues, David often achieves substantial awards for clients. Married with three sons, he enjoys walking, art, reading, sailing and cycling.

Madeline Seibert, a Broxbourne resident, has her creditable ‘Band 2’ ranking in the directory renewed after an in-depth review of her expertise and performance on behalf of patients. This renewal confirms her place amongst the best in medical negligence work. The directory quotes a client with this praise for Madeline: ‘I was very impressed with her attitude and demeanour towards me. She was sympathetic…’

Working across all areas of clinical negligence, Madeline has a particular interest in cases involving substandard nursing and midwifery care. Outside work, she and her young family are involved in the Lea Valley community, where she serves as a governor at Holy Trinity CE Primary School, Waltham Cross.
