Junior Doctors Strike and complete walk out today- a first in NHS history!

On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016

Nadia Qadri at Attwaters Jameson Hill remains concerned at the strike occurring today. In her opinion until Jeremy Hunt looks into the contracts of doctors or open discussions take place, the level of care being provided by patients today will be limited and could prove to be fatal.

In her opinion until Jeremy Hunt looks into the contracts of doctors or open discussions take place, the level of care being provided by patients today will be limited and could prove to be fatal. In our work we have seen occasions where a lack of medical staff available to care for patients has led to neglect and ultimately clinical negligence. With an already over-stretched NHS, it seems illogical to be pressing to have 7 days a week of doctors working for the funding of 5. What is needed is MORE doctors, not tired over-stretched doctors who will inevitably makes mistakes!
