Our firm’s double directory success

On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016

When looking for a solicitor, one of the key law directories can be a useful source of guidance. We are pleased to say that several individuals and departmental teams here at our expanding regional law practice have been confirmed by two prestigious legal directories as leaders in their respective specialisms, thanks to their expertise and achievements on behalf of clients.

Five senior Attwaters Jameson Hill personnel, engaged in family law, town & country planning, personal injury and medical negligence, are named in the Chambers & Partners 2016 edition. Two of them, plus two other colleagues, are also recommended in The Legal 500 directory for 2016. Our Medical Negligence Department is described by Chambers & Partners as ‘an outstanding national practice with a caring ethos for clients’.

Among the individual solicitors rated in Chambers & Partners is our family law partner Joyti Henchie, whose existing position in an elite category, Band 1, is confirmed. The directory’s compilers cite Joyti’s development of an extremely busy and successful family practice, quoting sources that describe her as extremely personable, organised and efficient in her handling a range of financial disputes and cross-border mandates.

Joyti is joined in the Band 1 category of Chambers & Partners by medical negligence partner at our firm, Madeline Seibert. Madeline has earned a major boost to her reputation through her work on difficult and sensitive cases, including inquests into the deaths of psychiatric patients. She is also recommended in The Legal 500.

Also in medical negligence, our David Kerry is designated a ‘senior statesman’ by Chambers & Partners following many years of securing substantial awards for victims of medical errors and failings. His colleague Rob Jameson, the firm’s top town & country planning expert, is also accorded the ‘senior statesman’ designation and has a ‘leading lawyer’ listing in The Legal 500.

Two other members of the firm are individually recommended in The Legal 500 for specific work in London/Essex/South East: Leanne Philp for Dispute Resolution – Commercial Litigation; and our firm’s managing partner Andrew Flannagan for Private Client – Court of Protection.

“On top of the plaudits for individuals, we’ve again shown the strength of our teamwork, with Madeline Seibert and David Kerry ensuring our medical negligence department is duly recognised,” Andrew Flannagan says proudly. “And we’re also a ‘noted firm’ for personal injury work thanks to Sheenagh Parsons’ team. So many areas of our work are covered by at least one legal directory accolade that it’s clear a variety of top-quality legal services can be delivered by a regional firm.”
