On behalf of Attwaters Jameson Hill posted on Friday, November 2nd, 2018

The hard work and dedication of the team here at Attwaters Jameson Hill have once again been rewarded by excellent results in the latest Chambers and Partners directory rankings. The directory has been identifying and ranking “the most outstanding law firms and lawyers” from all around the world for 28 years.

This year, both our Medical Negligence and Family Law departments achieved the prestigious “Band 1” status, the highest that it is possible to achieve in the rankings. Well-deserved recognition also went to a number of individual lawyers who have truly shone this year.

Our top-banded Medical Negligence department is known for its “expertise in complex clinical negligence litigation, including on injuries to mothers and babies sustained during childbirth” and is “widely considered a destination practice for sensitive claims involving fatalities, with experience representing bereaved families in inquests”. Clients we have represented described us as “most understanding” and “very helpful and polite”.

Our team is headed up by Partner Madeline Seibert, who was delighted have risen in the rankings this year, and is now a Band 1 lawyer. Of Madeline, the directory noted that she is “fabulous, really hard-working and will go more than the extra mile for the client”. Associate Solicitor James Sherwin was also recognised as an Associate to Watch”, and described as “a very determined litigator who obtains good results in difficult cases”.

Also achieving the highest possible rank was our “compact, impressive” Family Law practice, receiving some truly fantastic comments from clients and the directory. We are known for our skill in “highly specialised areas such as Schedule 1 cases, same-sex marriages and civil partnerships”. One satisfied client remarked: “They are so client-friendly, I got everything I could have ever asked from them and more”. The team was also praised for its “hard-working and enthusiastic lawyers who always strive for the best results”.

Partner and Head of Family Law, Joyti Henchie, “comes highly recommended” and was thrilled to once again be ranked as a Band 1 practitioner. Her clients find her “extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very understanding” and compliment her “excellent instincts”.

Individual solicitors were also honoured in the results this year. Partner Sheenagh Parsons, Head of our Personal Injury department, was listed as a Recognised Practitioner”, a title highlighting lawyers who have received recommendations and have a track record of handling notable cases.

Rob Jameson, our Consultant Solicitor in the Planning team, was also proud to be named a Senior Statesman for the second year in a row, a considerable and rare achievement. This title is awarded in recognition of lawyers considered to be “pivotal to the firm’s success”. He is said to have a “wealth of experience in representing local authorities, advising on matters such as the promotion and examination of core strategies”. He is praised as an “outstanding” lawyer who “has always been able to identify the most appropriate approach for a client”.
