Civil Litigator

Civil Litigator with at least 12 months fee earning experience to join our expanding Dispute Resolution team based at our Harlow office.

Candidates will need to have the ability to get to the key issues quickly and not get embroiled in unnecessary detail.

Areas of Law covered will include:

Breach of Contract
Consumer Protection
Neighbour disputes
Contentious Probate
Professional Negligence
Landlord and tenant
Debt Collection

The above are the core subjects, candidates need to have the ability to apply the law in a practical way to give the best outcome for the client and will need to be able to think outside the box rather than having a rigid approach.

Candidates do not necessarily need to have experience in all matter types but must have the ability to know how to find out what to do. We service clients from off the street as well as cross referrals from our commercial and other non-contentious departments.

A good knowledge of civil procedure rules and preferably some experience of the high court. Knowledge of enforcement procedures is also required, along with an understanding of the different funding options including CFAs DBAs and LEI. Some advocacy will be required.

Candidates should have excellent client care skills, good computer / typing skills and the ability to:

  • be self-sufficient
  • work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • work towards achieving set KPIs (financial and matter time targets)
  • promote and develop self, team and the firm

Trusts Executive

Trusts Executive with at least 2 years solid experience, to join our busy Wills, Trust and Probate Team in Loughton.

To deal with the creation, termination and administration of Will and Lifetime trusts and to provide quality advice to HNW clients on effective use of trusts to mitigate tax liabilities

STEP qualified would be advantageous.

Candidates should be enthusiastic with a real Interest in Trust work, have excellent client care skills, good computer / typing skills and the ability to:
